Marco Berger
Marco Berger is an Argentine director, screenwriter and editor known for a unique cinematic style that explores male erotic tension and the nuances of desire, consistently challenging traditional narrative structures through silence and his characters' subtle glances. "The Guardian" has praised his work for offering a "subversive and poetic approach to masculinity." His influential filmography has earned him global recognition, with projects screened at prestigious international festivals such as Cannes, the Berlinale, and San Sebastián. His distinctive voice in independent cinema has also garnered great acclaim at the Sundance, Karlovy Vary, and Rotterdam festivals. Winner of the Teddy Award in Berlin for the film "Ausente" (2011), Berger remains a central figure in Argentine independent cinema, constantly redefining the representation of masculinity and power dynamics.
