Early on, she formed the "Happy Girls" group with Loletta Lee Lai-Chun, May Lo Mei-Wei and Charine Chan Ka-Ling, starring in the Happy Ghost series. In the early 1990s, she appeared in many Wuxia films such as The Swordsman and Tai Chi Master, earning praise for her heroic image. In 1991, she signed a per-drama contract with TVB and began acting in TV dramas.
