**Vasishta N. Simha** (born 19 October 1988) is an acclaimed Indian actor, playback singer, and dubbing artist who predominantly works in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil cinema. Renowned for his distinct, deep baritone voice and intense screen presence, he has carved a niche for himself by portraying powerful antagonists and complex character roles. Born in Hassan, Karnataka, and raised in Mysore, Simha completed his schooling at Sharada Vilas Education Institute and Sadvidya School. He initially pursued a career in the IT sector, working as a software engineer at Accenture. However, driven by a deep passion for acting, he quit his corporate job in 2011 to enter the Kannada film industry. Simha made his initial foray into cinema with the film *Arya's Love* (2013), but his major breakthrough came when he portrayed the main antagonist in the commercial hit *Raja Huli* (2013). This performance firmly established him as a highly sought-after actor for negative and supporting roles. He achieved widespread critical acclaim for his portrayal of the ruthless yet layered gangster Ranga in Hemanth M. Rao's neo-noir film *Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu* (2016). His performance in the film earned him the IIFA Utsavam Award and the SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role. He catapulted to pan-Indian recognition with his role as Kamal, a Bangalore-based gangster, in Prashanth Neel's massive action blockbuster series *K.G.F: Chapter 1* (2018) and *K.G.F: Chapter 2* (2022). Continuing his successful streak in Kannada cinema, he delivered memorable performances in major films such as *Tagaru* (2018), *Mayabazar 2016* (2020), and *Love Li* (2024). Expanding his horizons, he made his Telugu film debut with *Narappa* (2021) and later appeared in the blockbuster *Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire* (2023). Beyond his acting prowess, Simha is a highly regarded playback singer, lending his unique voice to numerous hit tracks across the Sandalwood industry. In his personal life, he married popular Kannada actress Hariprriya in January 2023.
