Coney loves to read books, watch movies, write screenplays, poems and her inner thoughts in her journal on her free time. For exercise, Coney likes to run, do yoga, hike, or hit the dance floor on a fun night out. She loves to eat fruits and vegetables. Coney considers herself the "beneficiary of many fashionable hand-me-downs". A lot of her clothes have formerly been in her friends' wardrobes. She also prefers to take photos old-school with a disposable or Polaroid camera. Coney is also a fan of the television series American Horror Story. In February 2016, Coney joined the main cast of Freeform's Dead of Summer as Carolina "Cricket" Diaz.
