Pütter was born in Frankfurt in 1980 and has a younger brother. After graduating from high school in Dietzenbach, he completed a Master's degree program in Performing Arts at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 2001 to 2004. In April 2021, Pütter participated in the #allesdichtmachen initiative; however, he subsequently withdrew his contribution following public criticism.
