Highland Dale was living on a farm in Missouri when he was discovered by Ralph McCutcheon, a trainer of animal motion picture stars. Mr. McCutcheon sensed Highland Dale’s potential for movie fame. One of his first roles was on the famous television series, Fury, which was so popular that many people began referring to him as “Fury” instead of “Highland Dale”. Highland Dale was 26 months old, he starred in one of the many versions of “Black Beauty”. He continued acting for the silver screen in “Gypsy Colt”, “Giant”, “Wild is the Wind” and “The Return of Wildfire”.
